A teacher saw a student covering his ear with a piece of cotton-wool and asked:

"Boy, why have you got cotton-wool in your ear? Is it infected?"

"No, sir, but you said yesterday that everything you
told me went in one ear and out the other, so I am trying to
stop it."

Boy, I wouldn't mind a class full of students who actually wanted to retain my material, even if it meant stuffing cotton in their ears!

I'd pass out cotton to each of them for free!

Jsummer, I assume the children's parents will report you to the school authority. You are risking you job as a foreign teacher in China. LOL!
