GUESTGARY	Hi, 1. I am wondering what time the buses arrive from Hangzhou. 2. If I arrive in the afternoon, how can I fit in a trip to Hong Cun on the same day. 3. Plan is to ascend Huangshan the next day 4. Big Question - If I want to do Western Grand Canyon, do I have to stay 2 nights at the summit? Appreciate your help so much and a big thanks in advance.

hi, I am going to Huangshan next August. Here is what I am planning to do, please let me know if it looks ok:
Thursday: bus hangzhou – huangshan, 1 night in huangshan
Friday: bus huangshan-tangkou/ hike to the mountain top
Friday night: on mountain top
Saturday: hiking – bus back to huangshan, night train to nanjing

Do you think it is a good itinerary? Which hotels would you suggest?

You're a bit vague and confusing. Do you use "Huangshan" to refer to the mountain or Huangshan city (aka Tunxi) or both?
For accommodation, please be more specific about your expected price range.
Also note that Fri and Sat nights are the most expensive for accommodation in the summit area.

I and friends are going to Huangshan in early Nov. According to your forum, there is a direct bus from Hangzhou to Tangkou at 08.00:09.50:10.50, 14,10 and 15,10. Does this bus still operate? How far is the distance fom the bus station to Yupin or Yungu Cable Car? How much is the cable car fare? Where is Baiyun Hotel or Guangmingding Shanzhuang location? How much is the fare? Hangzhou -- Tangkou buses currently leave from Hangzhou West long-distance bus station at 0800, 0950, 1240, 1410 and 1510.
Which bus station, Tangkou? You'll still have to change to another minibus (I think it's 13 RMB/pax) to get to the lower station of Yungu or Yuping cable cars.
One-way cable car fare for any one cable car is 80 RMB/pax.
Baiyun Hotel and Guangmingding Shanzhuang are both in the summit area, near/at Guangmingding (Bright Summit).
What "fare"? Do you mean the accommodation price? That would depend on what day of week you're staying, and what kind of room or dorm bed you're looking for.
