It is said that British cinemas might prohibit the audience have popcorn while watching films. Why? Some audience can't bear the scent of the popcorn. On the other hand. Those who have popcorn make much noise in the cinema. People beside them feel quite annoyed. However, some guys are dissatisfied with the cinemas who forbid them to have popcorn.

Do you have popcorn when watching films in the cinema? Except popcorn, what's your favourite snack when you watch films?

Bye, popcorn.

Maybe they should ban people using mobile phones and mp3s in the cinema instead, that would be more useful.
Anyway, where would we be without a popcorn throwing contest? what else is there to do with it, surely not eat the stuff.

Why ban popcorn?

Alan, you have answered this question because "they are idiots". Dave is right, mobile phones and mp3s should be banned in the cinema. Every time I watch movies in the cinema, there are some people who walk side to side in front of me. And their cellphones are really annoying. To prevent this, the signal in the cinema should be shielded.

Yes. it should be banned: it's an American custom that civilised countries don't need! :)

Actually it doesn't matter to me cos I rarely go to the cinema - it seems most other patrons are deaf as the volume is turned up to a level that in the workplace we would demand earplugs to protect our eardrums.

They are going to destroy a tradition! Popcorn & movies go hand in hand. Just like cheese & macaroni, bacon & eggs, me & The Idiot's Guide to Chinese.

When I used to take my boys to the movies we always bought a huge tub of popcorn and one of those fizzy drinks. It was just part of the ritual the same as when I watch a game of rugby; I need a beer in one hand and a meat pie in the other before I can start shouting at the Ref. It just wouldn’t be the same.

How about hot dog? It is said that people love hot dogs. When watching matches, it is a necessity.

The Idiot's Guide to Chinese.

I am hoping that Chinese cinemas don't do that. We usually bring fried chips, pop corns and preserved plums. Sometimes, a cup of coke. People go to the cinema just for enjoyment. If they ban popcorn, I guess that fewer people will go to the cinema.
