Frankly speaking, I haven't heard of Lee Yongdae and Lee Hyojung until Beijing Olympic Games. In the final of Badminton Mixed Doubles, Lee Yongdae and Lee Hyojung (South Korea) beat Nova Widianto and Liliyana (Indonesia) who once defeated He Hanbing and Yu Yang (China) and claimed the champions. After winning the gold medals, 20 years old Lee Yongdae becomes very poplular in South Korea. Many girls in South Korea visited Lee Yongdae's weblog and left messages to him. They said that he was so cool and showed their affection to him. Do you think he is handsome? There are they.

Are you talking about the redhead or the raven-haired? The one with the black hair looks a bit like my brothers. Just a bit.

Shesgottobe, of course the raven-haired. You see, the redhead is a girl. I mean "HE" not she. You have a brother like that guy? Can he play badminton? If so, he will be popular in South Korea, hehe.

Oh. my. bad. I can never tell that the redhead is a girl. What happened? And I’ll be damned if my brothers are popular because of badminton. They are into basketball though. Back to the topic, maybe it is just me, but I find it funny that suddenly many athletes are getting marriage proposals just because they won the gold. And yet trash them when they lose. Here in US, everyone is gaga over Michael Phelps. Don’t get me wrong. I think he did great, but that’s it. Do athletes suddenly become attractive because of the gold medals?? Argh. Something must be wrong with my eyes and brain.

Yes I do agree with you Shesgottobe...I feel that as well as many athletes will be so attractive once they got gold medals especially in a big event such as Olympic. Many people including media will praise them so that the athletes gain credibility and merit of what they have achieved. I believe sooner or later those gold medalists will be sponsored by any companies to endorse their products&services. Think of players like Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Anna Kournivora, Rafael Nadal, etc.

Wow, seems that the Olympics can make big-shots. Sigh! I don't have a chance to join the Olympics. She, there is nothing wrong with your eyes and brain. It is not the Olympics that made them attractive. The athletes are attractive and the Olympics just gave them a chance to show their glamour, especially when they get the gold medals. They have been known to the world through the media. China's Zhang Xiangxiang (a weightlifter) is another example. He is a postgraduate and looks handsome. When he won, he knelt down and kotowed three times to thank the audience. Now many girls wrote on the internet that "If I am going to get married, I would marry Zhang Xiangxiang." This is Zhang Xiangxiang.

Aren't they going to have a sack race at the Olympics? I have a great feeling I have a chance there. Maybe I will get endorsement contracts for sack manufacturing companies. :P
