After taking careful note of the above I called my partner Xiao Tian Xin. Far from being impressed she asked suspiciouly who I had been chatting to.... Conclusion; don't use words she hasn't taught me.

GAFFER, you get the point. Use the terms of affection your wife hasn't taught you is risky. She will certainly doubt if you have learnt the phrases from other women.

My wife calls me LaoGong, I call her LaoPo. She wants it this way.

GAFFER, sometimes the simplest is the best. Carlos has proved that it is ok to call your wife "Laopo". Of course you need to get her permission, hehe.
