The difference between Chinese and South Korean women is:

GUESTASCEND Speaking the truth here, many people say Koreans are the definition of beauty in Asia. However, people look past the fact that 80% of these Koreans have actually undergone plastic surgery, especially celebrities. Now looking at China's celebrities, very few of them have actually gone through plastic surgery. The citizens care more about their education than their looks, so only a tiny percentage would actually go under the knife. Most of the Chinese people have natural double eyelids, bigger eyes, and they have different skin tones such as tanned, light tanned, fair, and pale. I am a Chinese woman from Chinese descent, yet I am born pale compared to other Chinese people including my brother (he was pale but he tanned as he grew up due to having more of my dad's genes and exercising daily outside in the sun) and other family members because my mother and her father are pale. I tried tanning since I live in New York City, and people here fancy tanning but my genes won't let me get tanned. If I try to tan, I get sunburns only. I have smooth skin and NO ACNE AT ALL compared to my brother who has had that since he was 13 til he was 20 last year. I am thin and I have a face in which people say is "pretty" because they think I look Korean. But their perspective on what Korean people look like is different because they are thinking about the faces of those Korean people who actually gone through surgery, but they don't know that. They think it is natural beauty but they are deceived. That is why I say Chinese beauty is superior to Korean beauty. This based on the facts as I have mentioned in the beginning of this comment. 1 more note to the side, not ALL Chinese women are unfashionable. I can say that because I am attending a University that is for fashion.

GUEST78223 I don't mind girls with plastic surgery. I think that if a girl is unhappy with how they look, then fine change it. Also, I'd much rather have sex with a pretty looking girl.

I don't really care too much about if my kids are pretty or ugly either because, there's always plastic surgery...

Deal with it.., it's normal now and if you don't think so, you're just weird. In a time where people don't need school to be educated and where Wikipedia replaces text books, it's not absurd to believe women who've had plastic surgery are faaaaaaar hotter ( bigger breasts, fatter butts, tighter bodies) than a woman who hasn't.

GUEST13476 This is pathetic. There are many naturally attractive Korean women who haven't undergone plastic surgery. Give me a break. And yes, many Chinese girls lack fashion sense and look like they need a good scrub.

GUEST45182 This thread topic is ridiculous.

One person's face should not define a whole race. Yes a lot of koreans have had surgery, but I am sure there are some naturally attractive too. I notice koreans with non korean nationalities look different from the pale make up koreans in south korea do. The ones born in other countries have a healthier look, better glow and colour.

There is a lot of beautiful women in every race. I notice a lot of naturally big eyed hong kong and japanese women. But it does not mean they represent their whole race.

I may be chinese ethnically with the big eyes and small jaw, but i don't represent my whole race - a very simple fact.. And neither are these features a single standard of beauty.

Attractive and beauty is a subjective topic, just like Art.

Unfortunately these days, all this korean media entertainment is influencing people and saying what is 'trendy' and 'what is not'. Youths of today are completely washed to think that 'looking korean = big/sharp eyes, vline jaw, pale skin', and assume anyone with these features are korean and are the only features that are beautiful.

Even all those 'koreans react to... e.g. american celebrities... british celebrities... filipino celebrities' videos... the koreans talk about how 'curved eyebrows' make you look mature and old and are untrendy. But they are trendy to the rest of the world. The west loves curved eyebrows and a mature look.

What features look good are subjective. One feature doesn't define a whole race.

GUEST45182 Clearly someone who only looks at Korea and not the rest of the world. Fashion in Korea is only 'trendy' to those who are into kpop/kmedia.
Chinese are unfashionable?! Have you looked at every single chinese person's on this planet? Do you know their population and cultural differences in every city and district? Get a grip, such a narrow mind.

GUESTBONDY007 Interesting post and sort of makes sense, all bit it generalist in nature. The immigrants of 30 plus years ago had to work their buts off, just to get a decent job in western society and many failed at that.

Today's immigrants are coming from the new wealthy middle upper class families of Asia and India and have more wealth, education and better chances of getting better employment and incomes in western society. These ones have higher expectations of foreign partners and seek to marry into educated western families.

Also bear in mind that English is a universal language and Asians and many Indians learn English from an early age, unlike us westerners who generally don't learn Asian or Indian languages. Thus these cultures from a broader cross section of their society, are more likely to travel to our countries than we are likely to travel to theirs. Thus we do get a broader representation of their cultures. On the other hand it's mostly educated people in our cultures that would so much as bother to visit places like India and other Asian countries. Except of course Bali, and Thailand where westerners thoroughly disgrace themselves.

GUEST22234 I'm an International University student in Korea & have korean room mate and lab mates. I have these experiences with them.
Situation 1 :
During my first semester after 10 days of being in korea, i'm out of all the money i had & asked my lab leader to give me extra $100 for that month stipend and can cut this amount in the next month.Few minutes later, my female lab mate called me out & said "what kind of money loving woman are you? You are here for Research and not for money, the lab is not willing to pay you".I was stumped at this!! I didn't know anyone in korea at that time except my lab mates & explained my financial situation to the lab captain & this is the reply they gave me.
The most disturbing thing is my female lab mate who said all these to me, changed to other lab(Nothing related to her research she has been doing previously)...I asked her what is the reason, she said "The new lab pays her more stipend than our previous lab". (Wow!!! What a "NOT" MONEY LOVING WOMAN).
Situation 2 :
One of my Korean friend was having TOEFL exam, to help her i borrowed a Practice book from my room mate & gave it to her. After the exam, i took the book back & was on my way to the dorm to give it to my room mate, it rained suddenly & front page of the book got wet, i dried it properly, apologised to her & returned the book. Few days later my room mate sent me message asking me to buy her new book.As the fault was mine i agreed to it & asked her i'll take the old book (I wanted to sell it as second hand) when i give the new one as i didn't have enough money for the complete price of the book. She said I had no authority on the old book & want to keep both of them & abused me " How do you twist your words, You need to take complete responsibility for the book". One thing i need to mention it is TOEFL listening section book, i have given TOEFL exam & know that all the practice for listening section is through audio CD provided. She has the CD with her.
Do Koreans lack manners when they speak to others??? or is money the only thing for them??
