What are the elements of China best known to foreigners? Do you think what can be viewed as the symbols of China? After Beijing Olympic Games, an online poll about China In Foreigners' eyes says that Great Wall of China, Kungfu and Chinese food (Chinese meal) are best known to foreigners. Chinese Dragon and panda ranked NO.1 and No.2 among the best known Chinese animals to foreigners. In Business fields, China Mobile, Lining and Lenovo are best known to foreigners. 6% foreigners know about China's Four Great Inventions. What do you think are the most appropriate words to depict China? What elements about China are best known to you? Which do you think can best represent China, Great Four Inventions, Great Wall, Kungfu, Chinese food?

I vote the Great Wall, because it definitely is the first that comes to mind when talking about symbol of China.
Had to think for a while before remembered inventions: gunpowder, papermaking, printing and compass. Perhaps compass is wrong, I am not sure.
Thinking about business, silk is the first image.
Old Chinese medical science is also well known among foreigners. I mean existence of it. Especially acupuncture, I think.

Making of hand made noodles (la mian) always amazes me, because it needs not only skills but strength.

Great Wall, not because it is famous and that's what China is known for but because I like it. I just love it. Plain and simple.

GUESTBRIT None of the above; foreigners like me now feel that made-in-China products are dangerous as they contain poisons and illegal chemicals that endanger human lives - this is what China, the Chinese people are notorious for. Chinese people cheat, lie, swindle and con the public and the world into believing their products are safe - they are not. Shame on China, a disgrace for the Chinese people.

Would it be correct to assume that you are from Great Britain?

GUEST31113 Chopsticks and yellow skin (I actually don't think is yellow) are the two most famous 'elements' while the most famous turistic attractions are Great Wall and Terra Cotta Warriors
