The president of Beijing Municipl Bureau of Sport said at a meeting that Beijing would host more world class sports events to build itself as an international arena. Such as the World Cup, the World Table Tennis Championships, the World Triathlon Championships and World Men's Basketball Championship will be introduced to Beijing in the fure.

Can you believe that Beijing is going to hold the World Cup? Even Blatter, the president of FIFA hopes that China can bid for 2018 or 2022 Word Cup. I can't believe this.

You know that Chinese soccer is too bad and has hurt many fans' hearts. I can't imagine how other teams humiliate China's national football team if China succeeds in holding the World Cup. Till now, I couldn't forget that China didn't score one goal or win one match in 2002 World Cup. Hope this never ever happens again.

How far should China walk to hold this World Cup? I can't see it.

I can't believe this too. I don't want to see Chinese national team being humiliated by other countries. If Beijing intends to bid for Women's World Cup, I hope it can be successful. At least, Chinese women's team has embarrassed us too much.

10 years, perhaps 14. Can happen anything. Development in the best countries is slowly, simply because they are at the top.
Other countries acquire the difference quickly. They invest more to sport, hire better coaches and so on.
It is not possible to Chinese captain to hold World Cup even 2022, but it surely is possible China can have competitive team by that time.

Carlos, China has done all of these things but still failed. Those male footballers earn millions of yuan per year. However, they still can't make any progress. By the way, China has hired too many coaches and still ineffective. So I guess that it is not the coaches' fault. I don't know what's wrong with Chinese soccer but I am sure that nothing good will happen in 10 or 14 years. Sorry, maybe I am too pessimistic but it is true.

True, guest8105.
However, by investing I don´t mean paying more to players. I mean the future, players who are now about 15 - 20 years old. Find the true talents, improve their training. By better coaches I don´t mean worlds top coaches, I mean coaches who can make stars from talents.

I always believe that it is not the coach's fault. It is the footballers' fault. As national footballers, some guys even go to the hotel for relaxing with two girls before an important match. No wonder they couldn't do a better job on the football pitch. Shame on them!

Someone suggests that we should invite Hiddink (the magic coach) as the coach of Chinese national men's team. Japan, South Korea and Russia have made great successes with the help of Kiddink. So China might become better if it hires Hiddink. Will Hiddink come to China? I bet he won't because he won't let Chinese soccer to destroy his good reputation.

Just dismiss Chinese national men's team! This is the best option.

Hidding would propably come if paid enough. Still, he wouldn´t solve the problem.
Chinese soccer bosses should go to Sweden with open mind and learn something from there. Perhaps they would find someone who would take a job to improve Chinese soccer. Must remember, all buildings are build from base.

Maybe Beijing will bid for 2018 or 2022 Word Cup because FIFA still keeps the host's privilage. The host needn't fight the qualifying matches and directly advance to the finals.

Me too. Too many bad news about Chinese men's national football team have convinced me that there is no HOPE for Chinese men's soccer.
