| Usually, the Chinese pupils prefer to cite some literary giants’ poems, remarks or bywords when they are writing their compositions. I did this before. However, do you believe that some students cite the lyrics of Jay Chou’s songs in their composition? In an essay-writing competition held in Shanghai, many students cited the lyrics of Jay Chou’s songs in their compositions. The judges randomly picked 1000 compositions out and found that Tao Yuanming (an ancient Chinese poet)’s poems appeared 28 times. However, the lyrics of Jay Chou’s songs, such as Ju Hua Tai and Qing Hua Ci (Blue and White porcelain), appeared 24 times. Are the lyrics’f Jay Chou’s songs very good? Yes. I have heard Qing Hua Ci and the lyric is beautiful. |

| This is the lyrics:

If you listen to Jay's songs, you will find that most lyrics are written by Fang Wenshan. By the way, Jay Chou has directed some of music videos on his own. Last year, he directed a movie called "Secret". Perhaps, he wants to be a director in the future. |

| By the way, Jay just release his new album Capricorn. There is also a typical Chinese style song called Lan Ting Xu. The lyric is also written by Fang Wenshan. Lang Ting Xu was a poem written by a famous Chinese calligrapher Wang Xizhi. If you are interested in it, please take a look at this page: http://www.chinapage.com/ This time, Jay Chuo chose it as the title of his song. I listened to this song. It is not as good as Qing Hua Ci. But the music video is pretty good. Here is an address where you can appreciate this song: http://www.youtube.com/ |
