The employment situation in China is worse this year. Many graduates can't find jobs. In Guangzhou, a pork corporation planed to recruit 30 postgraduates to sell pork and it promises to pay those postgraduates 100000 RMB per year. Surprisingly, 1500 postgraduates from prestigious universities were attracted to compete for 30 vacancies. After four rounds interviews, 35 postgraduates were chosen including four girls. Should we congratulate them?

Many medias reported this pork corporation. I believe that this pork corporation has become very famous in China now. Many people think that this pork corporation just wanted to promote itself. Now it succeeds.

The chairman of that pork corporation said that there was no difference in selling pork, computer or drugs. He encouraged his would-be employees that they could be the richest men in pork industry as long as they are ambitious and work hard.

Suppose you are one of them, would you like to accept this job?

To sign or not to sign the contract?

GUESTZAR Yes! Congratulations are in order; stereotype thinking about graduates=white collar jobs are out of synch with the times - selling pork is as appropriate as writing a marketing proposal.

I hope this is the result of Chinese youths wanting to do something that breaks away from the tradition 'office jobs' (how boring!). Of course the promise of financial rewards is alluring and no doubt, attracted these young graduates.

I see this development as a sign of the times; a result of the economic downturn but I hope that those who embark on an unconventional graduate job will find it interesting enough to carry on their careers, be it pork-selling, or baking cakes - both profession as timely as they are noble.

Times have changed, everyone need to adapt, re-invent themselves... especially if you are a college graduate.

CONGRATULATIONS to China's Young Generation!!!

Those guys who signed contract were too utilitarian. They were just attracted to the high wages and never thought if they could apply what they have learned to their jobs. But I can understand them: Surviving is the priority. China has too many graduates. The job competition is very harsh. A job offers such good salaries of course can attract many graduates.
