LOOKING FOR BANKING JOB IN BEIJING URGENTLY

guest14453	Hi ! I'm Jezz, who really interested to experience life in China. Im planning to stay in Beijing about 1-2 years, however, same as other expats, im wondering to getting a job in Beijing too. Im a Malaysian & holding a Bachelor Degree of Accountancy & Finance. Moreover, i have been working in banking & finance field about 4-5 years before. Beside English, I even able to speaks in Mandarin, Cantonese & Malay fluently. Actually im targets to look for jobs in foreign bank, for example HSBC, etc. Nevertheless, just wondering whether banks in China will hire any foreigner or not.. I really confuse & hoping you all able to give me some guidelines in order for me to successfully get a banking jobs in Beijing before Mar'09. Can help, please? I really wish to knows which way should i start searching, jobsdb in China? or..? Yours assistance & promptly reply are highly appreciated. Teaching English is the best job for the expats in China, especially those who are native English speakers. With proper tertiary education, they may land in teaching in government's educational establishments with high pay, while with less qualifications they still be able to teach in private institutions. In other fields? You will have stiff competitions with local graduates.

From previous posts in TCG, securing a job in China is best by invitation, and not gate-crash. Good luck to you Jezz and I do hope and pray you will find a job soon, either in banking or perhaps in finance, but definitely not in teaching English.

APAULT Points: Join Date: Mar 11, 2006 Status: Offline	In my experience, pay is significantly higher in private universities than government ones. But so are the hassles! Private language pay quite well but you work much longer hours and there is greater risk of not getting paid, or not getting the bonus payment (aka international travel allowance).
