I would like to find out if Malaysian can get a new passport done in Guanzhou instead of flying back to Malaysian. Should anyone of you have the detailed answer, please revert to hotmail.com|napohshuen.

Thanks a lot

Dear GUEST81104
You can go to Consulate General of Malaysia Office, 19th Floor, Citic Plaza Tower Office. From GZ East Railway Station you can take metro line 3 and stop at Linhe Xi station, exit D. The immigation attache there may help you.

GUESTAH MAN Dear all,
I am organising a trip for a small group of friends to Shanghai. I checked the fares on both Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia...

Malaysia Airline is offering RM 551 (on its Grab a deal)..
while Air Asia is offering RM389 one way.

http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/cn/en/home.aspx
http://www.airasia.com/site/my/en/home.jsp

I actually am confused and not sure how to choose. Is there a hidden clause or catch with Air Asia's "slightly lower price vs Malaysia Airlines". I thought Msia Airline fare is quite low already...

Any advice?

Dear Guest Ah Man
I used MAS many a time before the advent of AirAsia, from then onwards I used AirAsia all the time, except when the price difference is less than RM100 then I would take MAS, because the latter offers meals on board. Even domestic fares, with its Firefly as a subsidiary, the price is still steeper than offered by AirAsia.

If you really look how AirAsia operates then you will understand more why the price is cheaper than our national carrier, MAS and the end users (the clients/passengers) have to absorb the high administrative cost.

Airasia flies to Hangzhou while MAS flies to Pudong.
