Criminal Record for a Chinese Visa
Jan 7, 2009 13:56
guest32135 Can anyone help me, if I dont declare my criminal record on my Chinese Visa application what are the chance of me being caught. Ive been waiting for my police subject access form and it still has not arrived and I dont think it will before I travel.

Im just so racked with guilt and anxiety, everythings booked I just dont want to miss this opprotuinity.

Please any advice at all, I know its my own fault for not getting this organised on time.

GUEST87220 Just say "no". It's a simple as that. Never admit to anything on paper. By the way what type of visa are you applying for? As far as I know the tourist visa doesn't need a "police subject access form"? People stop being paranoid.

What is a 'police subject access form'? There is no request for this on any Chinese visa application form I have ever seen in Australia, Hong Kong or on the Mainland.

GUEST33110 I have the same problem but on the visa application all it asks is yes or no, there is no police subject access form. Perhaps that is for when you say yes.

GUEST97065 If you tick the no box on the visa form and then receive a visa, is this a guarantee of entry into China or is any further checking done by Chinese immigration when you land?

Has anyone ever suspected that China immigration have access or visibility to the immigration systems of any other country?

GUEST87220 stop being paranoid. Just check no. If they grant you a visa why would they check you twice?

GUEST39147 Yes to be a tourist you must complete a police certificate which accesses your police record and this should be posted with your visa

GUEST87220 no you don't need a police certificate to be a tourist. That is simply not true.

I suspect that it is an option available to issuing offices but that it is rarely required.
