Similar story has been told in other races and nations with varied versions. Of recent (in mainland China), the July 7th of the lunar calendar is dubbed as Chinese Valentine's Day. Do you celebrate Hungry Ghost in July (according to lunar calendar)? How about Tanglung festival, mooncake festival, etc? Chinese Valentines' Day has been overwhelmed by western Valentine's Day. Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. You will see how many Chinese celebrate the holiday: while wait until the July 7th(Lunar Calendar), few Chinese will celebrate the Qixi Festival.
