| 馕(Nang 2) is Xinjiang people's favourite food. In English, it is named as Persian Naan. Naan was introduced to China by Persian. This is why it is called Persian Naan. According to some historical records, Naan has existed for more than 2000 years. Tang Sanzang (a famous monk in the Tang Dynasty) survived the Gobi desert with Naan while he traveled to the Indian to obtain Buddhist scriptures. Did you eat Naan before? What do you think of it? |

| Naan or naan means bread. This kind of bread is famous in Middle East, South and Central Asia. The flour is kneaded and cook in a special kiln made of clay. I like garlic naan sometimes eaten with tandoori chicken. In Guangzhou you can find various kinds of naan in restaurants including Chinese, South Asian and even Turkish lokantasi. Wan |
