Hi everyone

I have a question to ask about international travel from China and would really appreciate some advice.

I am leaving China the province of Kunming in July 2009 to go to Nepal.
My flight has one stop - Kunming to Guangzhou then directly to Kathmandu.
I have never travelled in China using flight transport and would anyone know that when I stop in Guangzhou do I need to collect my lugagge then check -in with my baggage again to go to Nepal. I am not sure if anyone would know if this is the case because I have travelled in other countries and usually when I have a stop over I do not need to collect my suitcase and repeat the check in procedure but someone told me that in China it is different.

Thank you for reading and I would really appreciate any insight into this.

If it's a flight on the same airline with a stopover in between, most likely you won't have to get off the plane in Guangzhou.

Sometimes it depends on the luggage tag; if it is for Kathmandu then you don't have to worry. If the tag is for Guangzhou (CAN) then you need to inquire within.
