I spent time in Beijing last year and very much enjoyed myself i have also noticed that many bands tour through Ghuanzhou that play in Beijing. But it looks like Foshan is just a little too far out of the way though i am hoping i am wrong.... I would like to find a bar or cafe not very western style but kind of fun i really dont mind what its like somewhere to start at you know. i have found a lot of shops and malls, but not many night spots yet. ELLYSE Points: Join Date: Oct 30, 2005 Status: Offline	The promenade on the side of the river is closed. If you want a view the best option right now is the Garden Bridge (looking towards Pudong) or the Riverside Promenade (looking towards the Bund).

GUESTDANA	We are in Shanghai now and yes, the Bund is still "closed" for construction. Kind of a bummer but will try the Pudong side for views today. Also, the saxophone player is alive and well - heard him playing Christmas music from a balcony halfway down Nanjing Road last night!
