About what? You're too vague, we can't read your mind!

First get a Chinese visa to enable you to visit mainland China or Zhuhai. From Macau, the nearest gateway to mainland China is Gongbei/Zhuhai. From there you can take bus to many places, including Guangzhou. Wan

Cross the border into China, go to the bus station and buy the most expensive bus ticket (to the farthest destination), get on the bus, see where it takes you. You will have an adventure. Or you could go to Disney World in Hong Kong.

You are travelling in China already once you are visiting Macao.

I'm planning a trip to Guangzhou and thinking to going to Macau too. What I understand is that it is cheaper to stay in Zhuhai and go across to Macau from there. From there you can also go to Guangzhou, Guiling, Yangshuo, Shenzhen and so on. They are near to each other and you can go by bus or train except for Guilin which has quite rough terrain and it's better to go there by plane.

It is definitely cheaper to stay in Zhuhai. Plus Zhuhai is a great little city, and is a good jumping off place for all the places mentioned. I lived there for a month and stayed there on 2 other occasions, definitely a good place to start in China. And it has easy access to Macau.

Note that most people only intend to get a single-entry visa for China. If you go back and forth between Zhuhai and Macau, you'll be needing a lot of entries on that China visa. Better to do Macau as your 1st stop if you have a single-entry China visa. If you have a double-entry you could visit Macau once more in the middle of your trip.
