Leonardo, in most parts of farmlands in china, farm labors supplies have far exceeded the demands because of the technology. MOST farm hands have gushed into surburban and/or urban areas for working chances. Accordingly cities and towns have tremendously expanded during the last few years. I am wondering in which part of China this story happens and whether the one child policy applies there?

Marrie,

As I have mentioned in the previous post, mechanization is not popularized in some remote areas. The story happens in Southwest China's Guizhou Province. Many parts of Guizhou Provinces are mountainous.

GUEST1689 Life is always tough. Innumerable Chinese people are living at the bottom of China's economic spectrum.
