From Hong Kong airport to Shenzen

guestMichael	Hi I'd like to reach ShenZhen after landing at HongKong airport. I know that the best way to do this is to take ferry because of the time and comfort but I need more details. I'd like to ask you about the luggage. I will arrive from Helsinki so I expect I have to leave the transfer area and go to the luggage claim. After I have it I can start arranging me way to ShenZhen by going to the ferry-ticket office. So, where I cross the Chines boarder, when I enter the ferry? Am I right or I miss something? You should get your luggage first then go to buy the ferry ticket. Because if you get your things late and the ferry is start to sail. It is a pity to waste a ticket.
After to get the ferry ticket, they will announce you board the ferry before half or fifteen mins, after you pass the ticket checkpoint, then to the HK customs checkpoint, pass it means you've leave HK, and boad the ferry.
When you arrive shenzhen or else where, once you get off the ferry walk a little,then pass the China Customs. You are in mainland now.
Take the luggage with you .

WANHU Points: Join Date: Feb 20, 2007 Status: Offline	The first time I went to Shenzhen was from HK too, but I took a bus that went direct to Huanggang and the second time I took train to Lowu and crossed to Luohu. If going to Luohu I'd suggest you take train rather than taking a ferry to Shekou then taxi to Luohu, but that also depends on your luggage because you need to change train say, to TST East to go to Lowu. GUESTMICHAEL	Wan, I'm going to LongGuang and I'll stay in Century Kingdom Hotel there. Is the another transportation choice better than ferry to reach this place? I expect so but ferry + taxi is probably the easiest one. Michael

ELLYSE Points: Join Date: Oct 30, 2005 Status: Offline	In that case, you should consider a bus going from Hong Kong airport to Longgang (I presume you had a typo) district of Shenzhen, then it would be a shorter taxi ride to your hotel.

I used Bus (forgot the bus number) from HKIA to shang shui / Sheung Shui then take MTR to lowu / luohu. pass the immigration border and finally you are in shenzhen....
