| The Central Bank imposes regulations USD5k or equivalent and RMB20k (local currency) if more than that you need to declare. but so far China has never enforced this regulations, thus you can bring in as much money as you can. As I am not a businessman, just a traveller, I would bring with me not more than RMB100k. Many local banks in China impose exchange rate as well as withdrawal fee which is quite high if more than RMB1500, so usually I will bring hard cash with me. During Canton Fair, try to avoid crowded places because they are havens for pickpockets, and one thing for sure, these pickpockets are truly professionals. You may surf the inernet to get more info about taxes. I have assisted a few friends to bring back goods to their respective countries, and I am yet to be taxed. You need to worry the import duty imposes by the Indian Custom. |

| if you are coming for business, probably you can find a local agent for related help. actually i am working for an Indian company and my boss is an Indian guy. he helps many indians who came to china for business. Even though there is no business, we can make friends by supporting you for sure. |
