The 600 meters high Guangzhou New TV Tower (also called Guangzhou Tower) formally opened on September 29. Guangzhou Tower not only functions as a TV Tower but also serves as a new sightseeing spot in Guangzhou. It has started to welcome tourists since October 1.

The tickets are divided into three categories: 150 RMB per person up to the 84th floor (433.2 meters), 100 RMB up to the 66th floor (339.6 meters) and 50 RMB up to 32nd floor (162.8 meters).

How to get there: take subway line 3 and get off at Chigangta(赤岗塔) Station

PS: The Guangzhou Tower costs 6 billion yuan while the Birds' Nest just costs around 3 billion yuan.

Is this the reason why the admission fee is so expensive?
