| My route: HK-Macau-Zhuhai-Shenzhen-Dongguan-Guangzhou. HK-Macau: take E11 airport shuttle bus and get off at 60 Connaught Road West before Queen Street. It takes around 45 minutes and costs HK$21. Then walk to HK- Macau Ferry Terminal to take ferry to Macau. Macau to Zhuhai: take AP1 airport shuttle bus (MOP$4.2) or taxi to Gongbei Border. Pass the border and you will be in Zhuhai. Then you can take long distance bus at Gongbei Long Distance Bus Station to get to Shenzhen. It costs around 70 RMB and takes around 3-4 hours. Shenzhen to Dongguan: take D trains. The second class ticket: CNY40 or CNY 45. The first class: CNY 45 or CNY 50. Dongguan to Guangzhou: D trains. The second class: CNY 50. The first class: CNY 55. |

| Yes, you can take hight-speed vessels (actually turbojet) from HK-Macau Ferry Terminal. Please look at this page to learn the ticke fares: http://www.turbojetseaexpress.com.hk/ Macau has its own currency---MOP. In Macau, some places accept Chinese currency---Yuan. I suggest you exchange your money in the bank. MOP is much more convenient. Honestly, I am not familiar with hotels in Macau. | Geographically, you need to agree with Cherry, as HK borders with SZ and Macau borders with Zhuhai. Use HKD rather than Pataca because it's not easy to change Pataca back to SGD. In Macau all business establishments accept HKD. For hotels, you can google and find out. Sintra Hotel is quite nice where I used to stay there. You can check from many travel agents in HK which they can offer better price than internet or walk-in. Wan |
