| Puppy love is still a taboo in Chinese schools as well as a thorny issue for the school authorities and teachers. Many schools have taken a lot of measures to stop puppy love. A school in Shunde, Guangdong Province issues several shocking regulations to deal with puppy love. According to the regulations, boys and girls can not be together without the presence of the third person. If the students are in need of help, better find your teacher or friends of the same sex. If the student had an emergency, he/she should get permission from his/her head teacher. In public places, boys and girls should keep distance from each other. Lastly, vulgar language is definitely forbidden. Can these absurd regulations stop puppy love? |

| Why do all schools and parents think puppy love is bad? I am curious if the teachers and the parents experienced "puppy love". "Puppy love" is no guilty. |

| Western research has shown that where classes are mixed sex, boys underperform (obviously distracted by other things). Maybe it is not puppy love but concentration that is the problem? |

Is it a good idea? |

Did you mean students went there for love? I think if schools open for education then should stop every thing like "puppy love". If teachers and parents had this experience it was also not good. I think this a system fault for coming education. |

What I am trying to say is to use some ways to deal with it, not using some extreme methods to suppress puppy love in school. If you can not deal with this issue carefully, more problems will happen. |

| I don't know what the definition of "puppy love" is in China but the problem in classrooms is usually that boys have the desire to "show off" and attract attention, thereby distracting the other members of the class from their studies. Even from a young age it is a natural part of growing up, but the older they get the more the girls enjoy it. However, when sexes are segregated the problem is diminished. |

| My definition of puppy love would be what in the west we call a crush on someone. That is the first person we think we are in love with. This could be a ridiculous situation like an attractive teacher (usually girls), or a beautiful but older girl who would laugh if she knew. |
