guest2492 My wife and I have been staying in {Shanghai,https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/shanghai.htm} for 3 days. We had visited many tourist spots like Bund, Yuyuan Garden, Oriental Pearl TV Tower etc. Now we are thinking of exploring {Hangzhou,https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/hangzhou.htm} and {Suzhou,https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/suzhou.htm}. But we have little knowledge of these two cities. All we know is Hangzhou West Lake and Tongli Town. Definitely we want to visit these two places. Aer there any other interesting places?

And can someone recommend some travel itineraries?

Why not have a look at [tcgurl=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/package/hangzhou.htm]Hangzhou Tours[/tcgurl] and [tcgurl=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/package/suzhou.htm]Suzhou Tours[/tcgurl]? Except Hangzhou West Lake and Tongli Town in Suzhou, there are many other attractions. You can see [tcgurl=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/zhejiang/hangzhou/]Hangzhou Attractions[/tcgurl] and [tcgurl=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/jiangsu/suzhou/]Suzhou Attractions[/tcgurl]

Just got back from Hangzhou a few weeks ago. A nice place. Yes the lake and the pagoda are great. (Be careful buying a ticket for the boat trips. We were told the ticket let you get off and on for the day. Got off on far side of the lake and was told we have to buy another full price ticket to get back.)

About 2 hours south of Hangzhou is a great place to see. Similar to the hanging monastery near {Datong,http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/datong.htm}. In Hangzhou itself there is the old street which is a great tourist shopping street, and also silk street if you want to buy some silk. Go with a local as the prices to them are around 20% of what is shown on the tag <g>. If you want a small laugh you could visit this huge modern museum which I found to be the most unusual subject I have ever seen. It was the China Finance and Taxation Museum!

I head back to {Harbin,http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/heilongjiang/harbin/} and Shanghai in around 3 weeks. and plan to go to Suzhou too.
