SULLYOZ Points: Join Date: May 4, 2011 Status: offline	hi all i just joined this forum and i am looking for as much advice i can get :) my husband has a opportunity to work in Guangzhou when told his wage we were worried as its alot less to what we get here in australia, it will be 15000 RMB a month. We have a 7 yr old daughter who will need to attent a school, which is primarily English as none of us know any other language apart from English. when looking around online all i can find is schools that are extremely high pricing, around 100 000 RMB a year, is this how much English schools are in Guangzhou. Also what is the cost of living, for a family of 3, I really know nothing about china but this seems like a opportunity i don't want to miss but can i afford to do it im not sure atm,

Hi,

Nice to see you here!

What does your husband do in Guangzhou?The salary seems like less for a foreigner in China.You should talk about the salary with the company and will be get more...You will get more allowance when you work here in China.

Tuition is expensive for a foreigner kid.

Consumption level maybe is far less than Australia.You will get many unexpected harvest if you work in China.

:) my husband is a baker/pastry chef. the pay would be same in a money as what husband gets now in 2 weeks, So going on that im not sure its worth it, considering school here is free, and the only schools in Guangzhou i have found seem to be highly priced like, 6 months of the wage they would be paying hubby for the school. As much as it would be a great experience it might not be a good time in our life to move their.
