Peking Opera is a form of traditional Chinese theatre which combines music, vocal performance, mime, dance and acrobatics. In Chinese, it is called “京剧”. Now it has another translation “Beijing Jingju”, just Chinese pronunciations of “北京京剧”.

Some Chinese people think that Beijing Jingju is better than Peking Opera and should be known to the world. What do you think?

Because Chinese people want us to remember Chinese Pinyin. See, Jiaozi and doufu have been accepted and known to the world. Now it's Jingju's turn.
