Fathers day here is in november so for me this is a little early. We don´t fly China for Fathers day to see my wifes father so ansver to question is yes and no.

Carlos, China just introduces Fathers' Day from the United States. I read some materials. It said that China once had its own Fathers' Day. It was celebrated on August 8. Why? 8 is pronouced very similarly with Ba Ba (dad) in Chinese. I do not know why it disappeared.

Anyway, I am very happy that Chinese young kids remember this day. I sent a text message to my dad yesterday. He was surprised but very happy.
