2011 Women’s World Cup kicked off on June 26. Blatter and German political leaders appeared at the opening ceremony and watched the opening match between Germany and Canada. Finally, Germany won the game 2:1. Congratulations!

According to Blatter, the president of the FIFA, the champions of 2011 Women’s World Cup will win 1 million USD prize. The FIFA is too stingy. Last year, Spain won a prize of 18 million USD at the Men’s World Cup held in South Africa. You see, women footballers just earn 1/10 less than men footballers.

It is true that women’s soccer is inferior to men’s soccer. However, how can it be developed if we didn’t invest money?

I want to hear what you think of women’s soccer. Do you watch women’s football games?

I didn't watch the final but I knew the result. Japan won the title. Unbelievable!

GUEST19140 guest0918,

I watched the game from beginning to end, and more precisely, Japan didn't win the title, USA lost it.

With 10 times more shots on goal, the USA missed endless oppotunities to take home the trophy, but they blew it.

GUEST19140,

Japan earned the title on their own. They fell behind two times but finally drew at 2:2. During the penalty kicks, the goal keeper did a good job---saving two attempts. They deserve the title.

GUEST19140 Kevin,

Indirectly, tactical mistakes by the USA players allowed Japan to come back, not once but twice. I give the Japanese credit for their spirit of "never give up", but I still maintain that the USA lost the title, because they had a lot more real chances and they had more possessions.

Anyway, it was a first to Japan, a country devastated by disasters this year. May this win elevate the country's mood a little. Good for them.

GUEST19140,

I admit that the USA is stronger than the Japan. But "nothing is impossible" on the football pitch. One mistake can lead to the failure. Japan never gave up and took the opportunity to win the game.

No matter how many chances the USA had, they wasted them and finally lost to Japan. No excuse.

Let's wait and see whether Japan can win any more titles.
