But do not trust it easily. The NBA said that they hadn’t received any official retirement paperwork from Yao Ming. On the other hand, Houston was very surprised when learning about this and declined to comment on the report because of the lockout. So far, it is difficult for us to tell whether the report is true or not. But a CCTV reporter Liu Jia discloses that Yao Ming will surely retire and it is just a matter of time. Liu claims that he has confirmed about Yao’s retirement. Yao’s team will announce it later and a news conference will be held on July 20, 2011. The reporter just says Yao Ming just retires from the NBA and he hasn’t decided to retire from Chinese Men’s National Basketball Team. The injury has ended his professional basketball career.
