A few days ago, a Weibo user disclosed that KFC used a kind of powder to make the soybean milk. This has been widely reported by the media. Finally, KFC admits but hasn’t said whether any preservative has been added into the soybean milk. Actually the soybean milk’s Chinese name is misleading. Many people think “醇豆浆" is made of soybean in traditional process. To make pure soybean milk, you have to soak soybeans in water for 4-5 hours. Then grind soybeans and boil soybean milk. Generally, it takes around 7-9 hours to make true soybean milk. However, the guarantee period is only 2-3 hours. KFC claims that such traditional processing method can not satisfy their quality and food safety requirements. A cup of freshly prepared pure soybean milk costs around CNY 2. But KFC’s powder-made soybean milk costs CNY 6. Which would you like?

DREAMLIFE Points: Join Date: Sep 5, 2007 Status: Offline	I am lucky because I make soybean milk on my own. I have a machine. All I have to do is to soak soybean at night and put them into the machine next morning and then wait for around 20 minutes to drink my soybean milk.

Some people prefer to drink KFC's soybean milk. Why? They think it is much more delicious.

Actually, the cost price of a cup of soybean milk is only 0.7 RMB. But KFC sells it at the prices of CNY 6.5. How much does KFC earn from a cup of soybean milk?
