cnngo.com has listed 12 worst tourist traps in the world. Two attractions in China are on the list. One is the Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong and the other is Nanjing Donglu in Shanghai. The Avenue of Stars is “lack of comfortable resting areas and focus on souvenir photo booths makes the whole experience about as satisfying as a sneeze that doesn't quite come out.”

"Nanjing Dong Lu, whose history can be traced back 150 years ago, was once known as the “Number One Commercial Street in China.” Most guidebooks recommend tourists check it out for its history. But apart from a handful of old shops, any sense of history is largely gone.”

The above are cnngo’s comments on the Avenue of Stars and Nanjing Donglu.

Do the tourists who have been to these two places think they are the worst in the world? What are the worst tourist traps in your eyes?

GUEST2467 The avene of stars is a bit boring but it is a good place to enjoy A Symphony of Lights. I went there before. It was amazing but too short.

Tourist traps? Some places are never as good as you imagine. Be prepared for the disappointment. But this doesn't mean that they are tourist traps.
