Long distance bus from shanghai to Guangzhou

PENGYOU Points: Join Date: Feb 7, 2011 Status: offline	For a variety of reasons I would like to take a bus from Shanghai to Guangzhou. Is there an overnight long distance bus from SH to GZ? if so, where does it leave from SH?

BILLCAI Points: Join Date: Aug 28, 2007 Status: Offline	I think it is not a good choice to take long distance bus from Shanghai to Guangzhou, it is more expensive and not so safe, train is much better.

Go to Shanghai South Long Distance Bus Station to take the bus. There are two buses. One leaves at 14:32 and costs 377 yuan. It stops at Guangdong Provincial Bus Station in Guangzhou. The other leaves at 16:18 and costs 406 yuan. Remember this bus just passes by Guangdong Provincial Bus Station and finally arrives at Dongguan Bus Station. You need to spend around 20 hours on bus no matter which one you will take.

Figure out a way from your location to Shanghai South Long Distance Bus Station and then take bus there to Guangzhou. It takes about 20 hours and costs around CNY 377 per person.
