I guess shopping online is no more risky than shopping offline. Suppose we buy something from a vendor, a distributor or a factory. First of all we visit them at their premises, look with our own eyes whether there is anything fishy and check the stuff we intend to buy. We don't pay untill we find that everything is ok. When shopping online, we don't have their premises to visit ... don't we? No. When we buy only a couple of artices from a cyber shop, we don't visit its offline shop. It does not worth the trouble. However, we can check comments from other buyers. After reading some of such comments, we can always find out if it's ok. When we are shopping in large quantity, it's recommendable to visit the distributor or manufacturer. For mass shopping, we need to make sure not only safe payment, but also safe supply. We need to make sure the supplier does have the capacity to ensure supply and it is capable to exercise quality control throughout the production process. Shopping online and offline, we both need reasonable precaution.

It's risky if you don't put effort into exploring the sellers, but it provides you with more options.

Hi everyone. I don't usually do shopping online because of that reason. Probably you can do it using some trust websites.
