On Tuesday, the NYPD raided the Zuccotti Park where the Occupy Wall Street Movement protestors have been staying for almost two months. The police officers not only drove the protesters away, but they also removed their tents, tarps and belongings.

The mayor of the Big Apple says “Health and safety conditions became intolerable”. Probably, that’s why the NYPD cleared the park. By the way, the police also arrested about 70 protestors in the raid because they resisted and didn’t leave when the police tried to clear the park.

Today, the Zuccotti Park is reopened. The protestors are allowed to enter the park but they can not bring backpack bags and camp there anymore. In this way, the protestors can not keep the park occupied in the night because of the new regulation.

Do you think that the government just finds some excuses to crack down the Occupy Wall Street Movement?

A conflict between the police and the potestors happened again near the the New York Stock Exchange. The protestors tried to force the NYSE to be closed. At last, some protestors were arrested.

Occupy Wall Street may not occupy Zuccotti Park anymore, but it refuses to surrender its place in the national discourse. Up close, you get the sense that the movement may have only just begun.

(Zuccotti Park formerly named, and generally known as Liberty Plaza Park is a 33000 sqft park in Lower Manhattan in New York City, New York. It is located between Broadway and Church streets and Liberty and Cedar streets. Its northwest corner is across the street from the World Trade Center site. The park is owned by Brookfield Properties. The park was created in the late 1960s)

GUEST7689 What would they do further if the won in the movement? Force the US government to do as they say? Never! They claim that they represent the 99%% but the 99% don't support them. If all 99% unite, the US will be reformed.
