GUEST22233 There is no immigration policy in China........they have enough people already ;o). You can marry your gf and live in China on a long term (annual) visitor visa but you cannot legally work on this.

To work you need to qualify for a special skill working visa. A special skill is one which a Chinese worker is unable to provide. Usually this means teaching your native language. To get a teaching job you need to have a degree and usually some teaching experience. Then you need to find a school, college or business registered to employ foreigners. They will provide you with a Z visa which you change to a work and residence permit.

It is almost impossible to get permanent residence in China.

I am not trying to disappoint you. It is almost impossible for a ordinary foreigner to become a Chinese citizen.

GUEST16226 It is virtually impossible for a foreigner to become a Chinese citizen. It is challenging even to become a permanent resident which you must be before being considered for citizenship, unless you have invested a small fortune (US$500,000 - US$2,000,000) in a successful business (3 years), or have made an outstanding contribution to China in other ways. You would also have to renounce your existing citizenship as China does not recognise dual citizenship.

Who told you this? Do you know anything about citizenship? It is much complicated than you thought.
