Is the organizer of the London Olympics insane?
Jan 31, 2012 01:03
guest5784 Once the organizer of the London Olympics said that all children including the newly-born infants had to buy tickets if they planned to watch the Olympic Games. There are two kinds of tickets, adult tickets and children tickets(Pay Your Age).

Pay Your Age means the children will be required to pay for the tickets according to their ages, for example, a 10 years old kid has to pay 10 pounds for the ticket. It sounds nice. The younger the kid is, the less he pays for the ticket.

Unfortunately, the infants below 1 year old can not buy the children tickets. Instead, they have to buy full price tickets to enter the venue. The infants can not take up a seat of their own. Why do they have to buy full price tickets?

During the Beijing Olympics, children below 2 years old were not required for the tickets to enter the venues to watch the games. But they have to share the seat with their guardians.

I say the policy makers were drunk when they made the ticket sales policy. Why do the infants below 1 year have to pay full price tickets? They do not take up a seat.

GUEST13063 At this tender age, they shouldn't be brought to an olympic event. Period.

Nonsense! Do they discriminate against the infants?

Can't you see it? The London implicates that all moms who have babies below 1 years old should stay at home and watch the live TV broadcasting.

Olympics were only for entertainment but unlikely amusement has beaten by commercialism.

The Olympics has been commercialized. Why do those countries compete for holding the Olympics? They want to take this opportunity to make money.

I think Olympic administration should focus on entertainment through games and fruitful competition for their people with reasonable price and rules.

Haha, it's just a dream. The spirit of the Olympics is not important. Otherwise, no athlete will use drug to get good results. Why do they use drugs? A gold medal can bring him fame and money.

Babies should not be brought to a sporting event. Every responsible parent knows that.

BBQQ, when you have your baby, will you bring her to a place like this?

Why not? I have seen many foreign parents bring their little kids to travel in the world. I believe that it is good for their kids' growth.
