I am travelling alone to Hong Kong on 17 - 19 April 2012. I wonder if anyone would like to join me as we can do the sightseeing together.

yes！
you can go there by train or HK express.
and the charge is around 80 RMB.

where do you think I should stay in kowloon or hong kong island? I am planning to stay near wan chai? Is that a good place to stay?

I need to catch a flight at 9:50am on my last day. Do you know if it will be easy for me to catch the airport express if I stay in wan chai?

i think it will be appropriate if u stay in kowloon.
As it's more convenient and public security there is also better than WANCHAI.

btw,i'll go to HK the end of MARCH and i can get more details later.

I used to stay in Wan Chai. The cost is a little bit high. Charterhouse for example, charges between 900-1200 (HKD) for a standard room, while shuttle bus to airport is HKD280 per person. It's not far from wet market and Time Square (Causeway Bay)

I will be in HK on these dates before travel to mainland China for a month, so if you, or anyone for that matter, would like to meet for a meal or excursion that would be great.
I am from Canada, male, past 60 and enjoy sightseeing, food and culture.
