I don't think a surgery can help them to live better. They are just of mental disorder. They need psychotherapy.

Seriously, they are not of mental disorder. They just have some psychological problems. Both the couple and the man's mother need to see a psychologist.

Homosexual is not mental disorder, in my opinion. It's just their choice. There are some people who think and do differently from us. We can not say they suffer from mental disorder.

Some experts in psychology and psychiatry, thought that homosexuality is a mental illness, such as Sigmund Freud, an Austrian neurologist and psychoanalysis where he had concluded that paranoia and homosexuality were inseparable. Homosexuality was listed as a mental illness in DSM-II. After the protests by homosexuals in US in the early 1970s, Later homosexuality was taken off as a mental illness by American Psychiatric Association (APA). What’s noteworthy about this is that the removal of homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses was not triggered by some scientific breakthrough.
