On World Car Free Day (09/22), students from Hefei University rode buffalo on street to introduce the importance of environment protection and advocate low carbon travel. Impressive!

Except in villages, it's not easy to see water buffaloes anymore. Before tractors, water buffaloes were used to plow the land for planting paddy (rice). Many of the those rice fields today have become concrete jungle instead.

You may not know that our family has a tractor. My dad has been driving the tractor for almost 25 years. That tractor has contributed a lot to our family. Otherwise, I won't have a chance to study in college.

Seriously, we don't have a buffalo because we are in northern China.

Compared with my dad? Yes, I belong to a new generation but I won't forget how my dad raises me up and supports our family with that tractor.
