At the restaurant, Mr. Zhang, his sister and brother and his two kids just stare at their cellphones and do not react when Zhang’s father communicates with them. Then the old man becomes very angry. He smashes a plate and goes away. Why? Zhang’s father wants to talk to them but they don’t respond. Instead, they all play games or send messages on their weibo. Eventually, they promise the old man that they won’t use their cellphones when they have meals together. Then the old man goes back to the dinner. This just happened recently. Not only Mr. Zhang and his sister and brother but also my friends and colleagues are all keen to their phones when they have a party or dine together. Do you use your cellphone frequently while dining? Someone suggest that cellphones should be banned at restaurants. Do you agree? |

| Many cellphone users have become people without proper discipline. Just watch how they can't wait to use the phone while in the aircraft, at the petrol kiosk while filling petrol into their vehicles, while driving a car, and sometimes in the temple too. One husband has a quarrel with his wife, when their 8-month old baby cried, the husband asked the wife to see the baby, and the wife was cooking in the kitchen, because he's busy playing game(s) with his cellphone. Sometimes during conference and seminar, we heard the ringing of cellphones. Cellphone has been like the motto of an American Express, don't leave home without it. Youngsters today would be crazy if they can't bring along their cellphones. Indeed cellphone is a necessity, but we should know when to switch it on or switch it off. During dinner with some friends who are older than me, I would switch off my cellphone. Also during meeting, driving or attending talks, workshop or conference. Wan |

| I admit that I have addicted to my cellphone. I become very anxious if I can't find my cellphone. But I do know the etiquette "Shut down your cellpone or turn off its voice at meetings. In public, never talk on cellphone loudly, especially do not turn your cellphone rings loudly". Last week, I went to see a friend in the hospital. A woman's cellphone ring did shock me. I was worried that all patients were woken up by her. |
