Winter delicacy, hot pot, for it helps to fend off a chill and keep body warm. It’s yummy as well. In China, the most famous hot pot is Chongqing hot pot and Sichuan hot pot.

Don't think guys feel there is too much chili in the hot pot? It's too spicy to me. Pita Bread Soaked in Lamb Soup is also good. It is said that eating mutton in winter is good for your health.

Who is Jiao Yisheng? Lamb is good for your health. But some people can not stand its odor. I am told that lambs from Xinjiang don't have strange odor but those from Inner Mongolia do have.

By the way, you have to be very sure about the lamb meat at the hot pot restaurant. Some restaurants use other animal meat to replace lamb meat.

Can you tell which one is real lamb meat?

other animal meat ?? !!

I have tried once to eat in a hotpot cafeteria, where they offer meat for free. It looks like normal, but tastes not good. Now I think they must be fake.

Picture can b misleading dear Gloomy. We need to look at the soft texture of the lamb. beef has course texture but buffalo meat is courser. There are various kinds and species of lamb (meat).

So what makes you believe it is real? Actually, the upper one is fake. Check the texture and you will find the difference.

The fat and the lean part are almost separated in the first picture. In the second picture, the "fat lines" are embedded in the lean part.

In fact, it is not good to drink the soup of hotpot since it is boiled long time. I can't tell from the lamb meat also. But i ever ate once the toasted whole lamb, 6kg for 10 people, 80USD-100USD can get you all stuffed. Certainly i booked that restaurant from Internet. This is a website for group buying.
