 | In business, I guess there is something only love can do. Before being an interpreter I was working in a Japanese company, they focused a lot on quality and system, when I was new there and I felt something that I cannot understand, for example in the packing job, I think pack and it safe and this is can ship out without any problem, but they need me to pack it good. I felt very confused then, why pack it good? And what do you think pack it good? And what is good? At the first I really don’t understand what good is. But later, after they showed me some times, I found out that they packed the carton box with love. Before they packed it, they think this is for our clients, and they must make it good and make the client feel happy when they received it. I shocked, Chinese people never can think like this way. After I realized that this is one very important point which was missing in China. China only can be strong after understand this well. When the client received the parcel, they really can feel that if you use your heart to pack it or not, they can feel it. It is the same that if you use your heart to talk to your clients, the clients can feel it. And you can improve yourself time by time in this situation. After I have been an interpreter in Shenzhen, I use the same philosophy in my interpreter service business. Every time I talked to my clients, I use my heart. Every time I translate the conversations, I used my heart. Every time I helped people to solve the problems, I considered this as my problems and I have to solve this by my heart. Till now, all the clients became my friends. I guess they all can feel my energy and my love. And I am enjoying this interpreter business also. And also, I know there are some interpreters in Shenzhen only love the money, they made website, they put advertisements, they promises a lot before they pick up the business, but when they are doing the jobs, they try to play dirty ways and ask suppliers for commission under the table. I don’t respect this way. This is against my philosophy. I think business is a tool some times. You can use this to make the world become better with some rules, but you also can use this to make the world very dirty. And me, I prefer to make the world more and more beautiful. And I am doing this by my interpreter service business. And I hope some days I can do more than about interpreter service. Shenzhen interpreter – Michael |

| u sound very smart way beyond as an interpreter. packaging for long shipping s/b solid n easy to open with clear instrctions, item specifics n barcode. etc...as for web design for small clients, its better to understand the way they make each transaction before u complainig about something dirty. As an biz interpreter, knowing two lauguages is far from enough...cheers. |

| GUEST24212 | Hey 149775008, You hit the nail on the head. What you just described is rule 1 for any private business (not gov't). Years ago, when Walmart was under Sam Walton, he had a big sign in each store: "Rule 1: The customer is always right" "Rule 2: If the customer is wrong, go back to rule 1" Business is all about finding customers and then keeping them. |

| thanks Xiaobaihe, i am just learning, and i understand knowing two language is far from being an business intepreter. but now all the clients making big business for big companies these days. bar code & instrucation etc this is for containers. but for express and small qty. sometimes it's unnessesary. but thank you very much for your advice xiaobaihe. please feel free to contact me if you like. cheers. |
