Have you ever tried to take the subway or bus to work during rush hour when many other people go to their jobs? In crowded places people are easily to step on other's foot.

Here is a story I read recently that many young girls in China wear studded ankle shoes or boots to protect themselves from being stepped on feet.

Some also prefer “hedgehog bags” to avoid being harassed on the bus. They use these two equipments as their weapon when necessary.

Did she ever think about being hurt by her shoes? What would happen if your left foot hit your right foot?

durian isn't the best choice. Your friends will keep a distance if you carry it. I suggest that women bring pepper water or and learn some self-defence skills.

As a foreigner, I had a different view of queues than the Chinese in general. Often I therefore stand on the bus because some people entangled himself in from the side. After a few months I got tired of "being without a seat" and began using heavy boots and put my 100 kg weight on the foot of the person who wanted to sneak past. Just a little friendly smile and excuse myself to the screaming sandal adorned who jumped from the queue. After a time, it worked very well at the bus stops that I used.
