The labor cost has increased sharply. Most people find workers to modify their electricity wires and water tubes according to their habits when they buy the new apartment. My colleague is busy with his new apartment. He just finished modifying the electricity wires and water tubes. According to him, the water tube worker charges CNY40 per meter if my colleague buys the materials on his own. If the water tube provides the materials, it costs around CNY70 per meter. He used four water pipes (16 meters). Then you can calculate how much money he spent. For the electricity wire modification, it costs CNY 33 per meter(labor and material) and CNY 18(labor cost) per meter.

My colleague told me that he found his relative to modify the electricity wires. His relative didn't charge him a cent. But the worker his relative introduced to modify the water pipes charged him CNY 900 (just labor cost) for modifying 16 meters water pipes. It’s too expensive.

PS: His electricity wires and network wires are provided by his friends for free. If he includes all these free materials, he spent nearly CNY 4000 for water pipe and electricity wire modification.

Thus, we have to relocate the sockets, switches, lights, water pipes according to our own requirements. The real estate developers use low quality wires and water pipes. To ensure the safety, most people buy new wires, sockets, switches and water pipes to replace old ones.
