After being awarded with the Nobel Prize, he suddenly comes into the spotlight. The medium starts to dig everything about him. Thanks to a newspaper, Mo Yan's old residence in Gaomi (a county in Shandong Province) has been known to Chinese people. Mo Yan's Old Residence suddenly becomes a famous tourist attraction. Visitors come to Gaomi to visit the residence and they don't forget to bring something back. Last year, some visitors pulled up radishes in the fields and brought them back home. Sadly, the radishes are gone this year. Then they peeled outerskin of the walls of the residence or took away the bricks. According to them, they hope these things can bring their sons and daughters good luck. Someday, their sons and daughters might make great achievements like Mo Yan. If any protection measure is taken, I am afraid that the residence will be torn down by those visitors. Not only Mo Yan’s old residence but also himself has been bothered. According to him, he never knew that many people didn’t like him before. After winning the Nobel Prize, some people even write books to judge Mo Yan. On the other hand, he has to attend many activities as a Nobel Prize winner. He complains that he doesn’t have time to write books now.
