Can you say something to your Chinese fans?” Li Na answered “Do I have to say something to them? It’s strange. I just lost a game. Do I need to kneel down and kowtow to them? Apologize to them? ” Her words trigger a stir across China. Some of her fans felt uneasy when they heard about this. Some reporters criticize that Li Na shouldn’t have said that at the news conference. It’s true that it’s the worst result Li Na made at the French Open. But she doesn’t need to apologize to her fans. Real fans won’t criticize her for losing this game. Instead, they will encourage Li Na to keep on winning games in the future. Li Na is not playing tennis for her fans. She plays tennis for herself. No matter her fans support her or oppose her, she has to play tennis. There is no need for her to apologize for her bad performance. The reporter really asked a stupid question. It’s not a surprise that Li Na was irritated and made him embarrassed.

Then she made her disputable comments after the reporter raised that question. As I know, Li Na is hot-tempered tennis player. It's not the first time that she has challenged the reporters. She never changes after playing tennis for years. Her individuality never goes away. Some clever players know how to retain a harmonious relationship with the medium and reporters. It's good for their fame because the reporters sometimes write articles to defame the players. But Li Na is not one of them. She tells the reporter that they can write whatever they like. She never cares about it.
