Extra baggage costs on internal flights
Jan 19, 2014 22:03
guest05147 I am going to China in March from the UK. I am flying to Chengdu then I am going to Fly to Beijing before returning to London from Beijing. My Baggage allowance is 30kg for my international flights. I read that the internal flights have an allowance of only 20kg. Will I have to pay for the extra 10kg even though Im only flying once internally before flying back from Beijing to London 5 days later? My trip lasts 10 days in total.

If you're flying out of Beijing to London within 24 hours of arriving at the airport from Chengdu you shouldn't have to pay extra as long as you show your BJ-London ticket and explain.

If you're spending a few days in Beijing before leaving you may have to pay. I wouldn't say anything in Chengdu airport unless they point out that you're over the weight allowance - then explain that you're leaving for London from Beijing and see if they let you off.
