Chongqing --- yangtze cruise -> yichang

Hi

I had seen some websites and the cheapest cruise from chongqing to yichang I saw was around 2000RMB. Are there cheaper alternatives?

With 2000 Yuan, you can take a at least four star ship. There are other more economical ones which will cost you hundreds Yunan to a thousand or more.
Also, be adviced that most of the ships will charge different price for Chinese and foreigners :)

I have looked up more information. I am thinking of this.
Day 1: Taking a boat ride to fengjie
Day 2: Take cab/bus to beishicheng.. walk ard.
Day 3(4): Join tour for small gorges tour for 1-2 days.
Day 4(5): Get from qingshizheng to badong on boat. then to yichang.

Is this possible? what are some places I should not miss?

Btw, I am a foreign chinese :D

Heard about heavy rainfall during the end june period at the 3 gorges. plus the recent flooding, is it still possible to tour the 3 gorges?

Yeah, it is possible to cruise the river unless the sailing been canceled. But the tour will be less attractive because of the feculent water.
