I am still not sure. Most likely a scam. I am down 660us$, but I don't care. A visa application can be downloaded from the respective Embassy. It is free for Portugal. Fill it up, send it to the embassy. If something has to be paid, paid THE EMBASSY. Don't do ANYTHING unless you have a reply from the Embassy (like "missing documents" etc) Ask for copy of passport, medicals, selfies in "particular position, such with a finger in the nose". Fail to provide? ==> SCAM. Move away!

Guys, this a totall scam. well organized and large in its scope. DONOT trust any of these women in China especially. (but limited to china since I have experienced this in the phillipines as well.) I was speaking with Juanita, for months. She really had the hooks in me for awhile but i always felt something was not quite right. Her story (right down the same travel agency, employer stories as our friend on the is thread Niklas) 2 weeks ago i called her and now her voice sounded different to me? So she knows what i do for a living and i asked the question what do i do for a living and the woman on the other end hung up on me. I say this because i just spoke to another woman tonite named Elena. Beautiful woman traded emails and pics. Now i am getting the same story right down to the same sister and state. I called her a scamming *** and hung up the phone. AVOID china and be really careful in the phils. The only way to make sure is to go and visit. Meet face to face and even then have your guard up. DO NOT SEND MONEY TO THESE FEMALE SNAKES. PLEASE GET THE WORD OUT.

As I said before, the bank has confirmed Shenzhen Travel a very doubtfull "company". So, I decided to use a direct approach: I filled up the visa application (inviting the woman), and sent it to her. She now just has to complete the form, join her passport and send it to the Embassy in China. I am in direct contact with the Embassy, and they will inform me of the progress. Any money to pay will be paid to the Embassy. Once the visa is granted, I want the girl to send me copy. THEN, I will buy her NON-REFUNDABLE ticket from Portugal (except by me), with a reputable airline. That way, NO third party involved. If she does not comply with any part, then, bye-bye! So, for those still interested: join any dating you want, get contact with someone, but do ALL FORMALITIES from your country. Apply for her visa and pay the embassy: if it is a scam, it will most likely fail at that stage. If not, then arrange for her trip yourself, buy a ticket that can only be refunded to yourself. She comes? Great! She does not? Get a refund on the ticket or, if you have bought a return, change it for a nice trip to wherever you want! Good luck PS: I will call back to tell the rest...

The final conclusion after many inquiries and researches... ShenzhenTrustTravelAndTours is part of a very large, well organized SCAM system! "Liu" (one of the managers) is only a small pawn. The bank they use is: SHENZHEN TRUST TRAVEL AND TOURS FINANCIAL SECRETARY: Account name.......... KUN CHEN Bank Name............. POSTAL SAVINGS BANK OF CHINA Account number........ 6217996020023409632 Swift code............ PSBCCNBJ Post Code............. 523560 Bank address.......... Changping Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province Revitalization Branch Most of the girls available on dating sites are also involved in the scheme. There MAYBE one or two who are not. To find out: - DEMAND photocopy of passport, a picture of her "with a finger on her nose" (or more intimate :-)), and, if you have been further, a copy of her medical. (Actually, it is NOT required, nor is a return ticket required for the visa: fill the application as to invite a girl as your personal employee/assistant, and promise, on the application, to cater for ALL expenses) - With her full address, ask the Embassy of your country, in China, to send you a visa application. - Fill it, pay for it TO THE EMBASSY. - Send it to the girl, asking her to complete the form and send it to the Embassy. - IF she gets the visa, BUY her ticket from your country (NON-REFUNDABLE) at a reputable travel agency or airline. - Do not accept ANY excuse. I all goes well, she is genuine and will be with you soon... Break up and report if ANY fail happens in the stages above. Good luck! (I just got out in time!)

Jean Ray, thanks for all your research and followups. These girls that are involved are so smooth. They could make more becoming actresses. For me the giveaway is always that they want to come and see you rather ending there contract in china and then going back to the phils. They tell you they dont want to meet in the phils but will fly wherever you live and stary with you. Yea right!. Fly across the world to live with a complete stranger. Whenever i mentioned that i would fly to china to meet them it was always my employer does not allow that even on there days off. Its simply much easier and safer to fly to the phils after connecting on one of the dating sites and meeting in person. This is what i am doing in august. first to cebu and then on to bangkok. Men you are out of your leauge thinking you can figure out from your home who is real or not in china. This scam is also prevelent in the phils as well so its not limited to china. all the best and good luck to everyone.

Just one more detail: - The ladies are Philippinas (well, NOT Chinese), working in China. - They MUST have a valid visa to work there: ask a copy. - Their visa is usually "near the end". This means they CANNOT RETURN to China without a NEW visa, and this also means that buying a "return ticket" is USELESS. - Unless you offer EMPLOYEMENT, no Embassy will EVER deliver a visa in these conditions. If the lady is not in her own country, it is not going to work. You like asian ladies? Fair enough. Look for one that is ALREADY in your part of the World: she will already be resident! :-) (Found a lovely one already living in Spain... no visa required)
